“The emphasis in successful management lies on the man, not on the work.”
Anyone who can manage his people well is a good manager. The skill of managing people can be acquired thru understanding Human Psychology .The human factor is considered as the central point in the psychology of management, as its essence and a core.
When we study the psychology of the person, we also study his mentality and the factors that influence him or rather motivate him, his work and his behavior. This helps in improving interpersonal relationship between the managers and employee. Interpersonal relationship is a part of human behavior. Establishing the interpersonal relations in work place depends upon the behavior, personality patterns and psychology of the people in the organization. That is one important reason why selection process becomes an important factor.
At the time of selection its important to understand whether the personality and psychology of candidate is compatible with the organization culture. This can be done thru Psychometric Tests where we come to know about his behavior and personality. We all know different organizations have different culture. X personality pattern may be suitable for Organization A but not for organization B. Therefore its very important to understand that recruitment should be for the organization and not the job. The candidate should fit with the company’s culture.
